Mercy For Animals to Host Star-Studded Gala

Pamela Anderson, Joaquin Phoenix, and others will be honored at this weekend's benefit for animals in Los Angeles.

To celebrate the critical work of undercover investigators, Mercy For Animals (MFA) is hosting the “Hidden Heroes Gala” in Los Angeles this Saturday, August 29. Hosted by retired NBA Star John Salley and journalist Jane Velez-Mitchell, the black-tie affair will feature an awards show packed with celebrities, a gourmet dinner, a silent auction, and more. Presenters and the honorary committee include celebrities Pamela Anderson, James Cromwell, Emily Deschanel, Tony Kanal, Moby, Joaquin Phoenix, Russell Simmons, and others. Last year’s gala celebrated the organization’s 15th anniversary and raised more than $1 million for the animal-rights organization. Tickets are available online now.
