The one-step, six-ingredient recipe from Melillo’s cookbook, Blissful Basil, touts health-promoting properties without sacrificing indulgent flavors and convenience, making it an excellent dessert-for-breakfast option. Makes 1 shake

What You Need:

½ cup chilled coconut cream
½ to 1 cup ice
¼ cup fresh beet juice
4 Medjool dates, pitted
2 tablespoons raw cacao powder or ¼ cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
