Warriors Star JaVale McGee is Now Vegan

The professional basketball player boasted that his new plant-based diet is responsible for his beautiful physique.

Professional basketball player JaVale McGee of the Golden State Warriors recently announced that he has adopted a plant-based diet. McGee raved about being vegan during a recent segment of fellow player Kevin Durant’s YouTube series entitled “Parking Lot Chronicles.” “I’m vegan, guys,” McGee said. “That’s why my physique is just so beautiful. Shout out to my vegan peoples out there.” McGee praised the San Francisco Bay Area for its vegan options, stating that “there’s a lot of vegan spots” before crediting his plant-based diet to helping him “get up and down the court.” During the halftime broadcast of last week’s Warriors versus Spurs game, retired NBA player and sports commentator Charles Barkley stated that vegetarians do not exist. McGee—along with a growing list of NBA players who have recently adopted a plant-based diet, including Jahlil Okafor, Wilson Chandler, Damian Lillard, and Kyrie Irving—are proving Barkley wrong.
