
Seitan and Eggplant Burgers
We're loving this succulent patty that's great on the grill topped with lots of fixin's.
Thanks to Upton’s Naturals’ new Classic Burger patties, we're firing up our grills early this year. While the company is better known for their jackfruit offerings, this hearty seitan-, eggplant-, and tofu-based patty holds up to heat like a pro and makes an excellent vehicle for toppings such as crisp lettuce, thick slices of tomato, and rings of red onions. We also like to bulk up our burgers with a few slices of avocado and serve them on a toasted sesame seed bun. If you find yourself in Chicago this summer, head over to Upton’s Breakroom—the company’s public eatery—where they use the patty to create a Bacon Ranch Cheeseburger loaded with their Bacon Seitan, homemade cheese sauce, and all the fixin’s.
