Domino's Debuts Three Cheesy Vegan Pizzas
International pizza chain Domino's adds Follow Your Heart vegan cheese to more than 600 locations in Australia and debuts a line-up of fully vegan pies.
Pizza chain Domino’s added three vegan pizza options to the menu of more than 600 locations in Australia. The brand partnered with United States-based vegan brand Follow Your Heart and now offers its mozzarella shreds in place of dairy cheese on all of its pizzas—which have always been made with vegan sauce and crust. Domino’s also debuted three dedicated vegan pizzas: Vegan Avocado Veg, the Vegan Spicy Trio, and the Vegan Margherita. The chain surveyed its Facebook followers late last year to determine if they would like vegan cheese, and after receiving positive responses to its inquiry, the chain confirmed it would add vegan cheese to menus across Australia. “We were blown away by the response to the survey and for this product in general,” Domino’s regional CEO Nick Knight said. “At Domino’s, we pride ourselves on our ‘people-powered pizza’ mantra and listen to what our customers want. The popularity of, and demand for, vegan products has increased considerably over the years, so it’s great we are now able to offer Follow Your Heart’s high quality, non-GMO, plant-based, preservative free, vegan cheese.” Domino’s plans to make the new vegan cheese a featured menu item based on customer feedback.
