Afters Ice Cream Debuts Vegan Milky Buns at Coachella
The trendy Southern California ice cream chain will debut the first vegan version of its signature frozen treat at this year's Coachella music festival.
Southern California-based ice cream chain Afters Ice Cream will debut a vegan version of its signature Milky Bun at Coachella this weekend. Andy Nguyen and Scott Nghiem founded Afters Ice Cream—which has 20 locations in California—in 2014, and its sweets have since turned into a viral sensation on Instagram. The signature Milky Bun flavor consists of ice cream sandwiched in between two sweet-glazed doughnut buns. Its debut dairy-free ice cream flavor will feature chocolate ice cream, housemade vegan chocolate chip cookies, Oreos, and vegan chocolate fudge. The new offering will also be available at its Pasadena, Sherman Oaks, Woodland Hills, Costa Mesa, and San Diego locations beginning April 13. Afters Ice Cream joins a growing line-up of other vegan-friendly vendors at this year’s Coachella, including The Herbivorous Butcher, Little Pine, and Ramen Hood.
