Evanna Lynch Veganizes Hogwarts Recipes

The Harry Potter star creates "dairy- and frog-free" recipes in new video cooking tutorial.

Vegan actress Evanna Lynch—known for her character Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter series—recently appeared in a new video cooking tutorial. Lynch created the tutorial in partnership with Peta2—the youth outreach arm of animal-rights organization People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals—in an effort to inspire the younger generation to go vegan. In the video, Lynch shares recipes for dairy-free (and "frog-free") chocolate frogs, a decadent vegan Butterybeer, and Pumpkin Pasties. “Whether it's owls, rats, or hippogriffs," Lynch says, "be a hero for animals by going vegan today!” Last year, during an award ceremony acceptance speech in Ireland, Lynch stated, “Killing and eating animals is a betrayal of our own core humanity.” Lynch recently announced that she will continue her animal rights activism efforts by launching a vegan podcast that she hopes will make a cruelty-free lifestyle more accessible.
