Kat Von D Drops Vegan Makeup Brush Set

The vegan activist and makeup mogul takes the next step in transitioning her brand Kat Von D Beauty to being completely cruelty-free with high-performing, synthetic brushes.

Vegan activist and beauty mogul Kat Von D announced this week the upcoming release of an entire line of vegan makeup brushes made with synthetic fibers. “We are living in amazing times right now where technology is making it so easy to make compassionate choices in the products we purchase without having to exploit animals,” Von D said to her 3.6 million Instagram followers. The makeup/tattoo artist committed to veganizing her entire beauty brand last year and has since debuted several vegan items—including an animal-free version of popular Shade + Light contour palette. Outside of the beauty industry, Von D supports animal-rights organizations such as Mercy For Animals and attended the Animal Rights National Conference in Washington, DC last weekend. Von D is also working on a 26-style vegan shoe line set to debut by the end of this year.
