Kat Von D Plans to Throw a Big Fat Vegan Wedding

The pregnant makeup mogul will throw a vegan wedding bash where guests will receive a custom-made Kat Von D Beauty lipstick.

Vegan entrepreneur Kat Von D recently announced that she is planning a very vegan wedding to partner Leafar Seyer (born Rafael Reyes). The wholly vegan affair will ask guests to donate to an animal-rights organization in lieu of purchasing wedding gifts. “We love the idea of showing the world that you don’t have to sacrifice luxury/quality by choosing not to exploit animals in any way,” Von D posted on Instagram. “We are also excited about not having a gift registry and instead have guests who might be inspired to gift us, donate to one of our favorite animal-rights organizations, Animal Equality, on our behalf instead!” The pair legally married earlier this year, in a private, two-person ceremony, and are holding this upcoming celebration to include a larger guest list. Animal Equality thanked the couple for their support via Twitter. “We’d like to wish one of the most beautiful power couples a huge congratulations on their upcoming wedding,” Animal Equality stated. Von D—who is pregnant with her first child and plans to raise him vegan—will design a custom vegan lipstick as a gift for her wedding guests, and, according to her Instagram feed, may feature a red velvet wedding cake.
