Def Leppard Drummer Rick Allen Debuts Vegan Bag Line

The prolific vegan drummer's signature shoulder bag—made with vegan materials—is now available on Amazon.

Rick Allen, drummer for Def Leppard and a longtime vegan, launched a line of luxury vegan bags called BonSac. The first bag in the collection, The Rick Allen Cruelty Free Vegan Unisex Shoulder Bag, debuted on Amazon with a price tag of $979.99. The luxury, water-resistant shoulder bag features three zippered compartments and is made with a combination of military-grade waxed cotton, soft upholstery fabric, and Kevlar. The full line of bags will be available in the Spring of 2018. Allen isn’t the only veg-friendly member of Def Leppard. Guitarist Phil Collen is vegan and had an eco-friendly wedding in 2010. "In my world of rock and roll, with so many artists choosing compassion over conventional fashion,” Allen, who famously continued to excel at drumming even after losing his arm, said, “style with conscience is the future.”
