Vegan Pokémon Purse Collection is Now on Sale

Pikachu, Squirtle, and Charmander—Pokémon fans can now collect them all!

A new collection of media franchise Pokémon-themed purses recently became available for purchase. The small, cross-body bags were made in collaboration with designer Danielle Nicole and feature all-vegan leather materials in several Pokémon character shapes, including Pikachu, Squirtle, Charmander, Togepi, and Bulbasaur. The cross-body bags will fit a standard iPhone 7 or Samsung Galaxy 8 and weigh only nine ounces. Two non-character shaped styles are also available: a Pikachu Saffiano Vegan Leather dark blue bag with numerous Pikachu renderings emblazoned on the front and a Poké Ball bag made to reference the popular augmented reality game Pokémon Go. Vegan leather—which can now be made from a number of plant-based fibers including pineapple, mushroom caps, and grapes discarded by the wine industry—is predicted to become a $85 billion global industry by 2025.
