Portia de Rossi Pays Surprise Visit to Vegan Butcher Shop

The actress stopped by The Herbivorous Butcher in Minneapolis to rave about their delicious food.

Actress Portia de Rossi paid a surprise visit this week to vegan shop The Herbivorous Butcher in Minneapolis, MN. The Hewing Hotel called the vegan shop to order a meal, stating that they could not accommodate a celebrity’s request. The Herbivorous Butcher delivered a Turkey and Dill Havarti Sandwich, a bag of vegan chips, and I Heart Keenwah Chocolate Puffs to the hotel while de Rossi was away. The next day, de Rossi made a personal appearance at the shop to thank brother-and-sister founders Kale and Aubry Walch for her delicious meal. “She said we should open in LA and that she wishes she could eat everything,” Aubry Walch told VegNews. “She said people must come into the shop and just freak out that everything is vegan.” De Rossi is not the only celebrity fan of the vegan butcher shop, as comedian Jon Stewart sent The Herbivorous Butcher a letter professing his love for their vegan products along with photos of the funnyman devouring the shop’s vegan cheese.
