Britain’s Got Talent Judge Calls for Slaughterhouse Ban

In a recent interview with Daily Mail, Alesha Dixon—a judge on reality show Britain’s Got Talent and a member of disbanded British girl group Mis-Teeq—expressed her disdain for slaughterhouses. When asked which law she would change if she could, the singer/dancer responded, “I would make smoking illegal, and I would ban the slaughter of animals for food or anything.” Dixon was inspired by her vegan mom to stop eating meat in April and has replaced dairy with almond-based alternatives. “So, I’d close down every factory responsible for either and make it illegal to smoke or eat meat,” Dixon said. “Everyone would be fine, trust me.” Fellow reality show star Will.i.am—the singer of Black Eyed Peas and current judge on The Voice—announced last week that he joined the “V.Gang” (or is transitioning to a vegan lifestyle).
