Veg College Scholarships

Two veg high school seniors will each be awarded $5,000 scholarships from the Vegetarian Resource Group.

The Vegetarian Resource Group recently began accepting applications for its annual college scholarship competition. Scholarships of $5,000 will be awarded to two vegetarian high school seniors graduating this spring, judged on “having shown compassion, courage, and a strong commitment to promoting a peaceful world through a vegetarian lifestyle.” Applicants must submit an essay addressing 16 points of interest, including their efforts to promote cruelty-free lifestyles, why they ditched meat, and why they should receive the scholarship, as well as recommendation letters and school records by February 20, 2012.
