Disney Promotes Tree Planting

Disneynature to plant a tree for each person who attends Earth opening.

It’s a rare feat to please moviegoers and environmentalists in tandem, but Disney’s new film company, Disneynature, is aiming to do just that. In what is possibly one of the most ingenious marketing schemes we’ve heard in a long time, the company has pledged to plant one tree for each person who attends the film during its opening weekend. All trees planted in response to the number of Earth attendees will find their new home in the Brazilian Atlantic Forest, a threatened area that’s also considered a hotspot of bio-diversity. Thanks, Disneynature, for striving to make our Earth a little greener.
