Animal- and equal-rights supporters will rally to protest the chain’s alleged anti-gay stance and animal cruelty at the Hollywood location on August 1st.

Fast food chain Chick-fil-A has been making headlines in recent weeks for its alleged anti-gay stance. Conservative commentator and former governor Mike Huckabee declared Wednesday, August 1 National Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day, encouraging patrons to support the company’s views by purchasing its products. In response local gay-rights and animal-rights activists have organized a same-day protest outside the chain’s Hollywood location.
