This Week's Must-Have

Gluten-Free Cookies

No wheat? No problem. Alternative Baking Company’s new gluten-free cookies are the real delicious deal.

Some things are easier to make gluten-free than others. Salads? No problem. Pizza? A little trickier. Cookies? Wizardry required. But thankfully, not from you! The masterminds at Alternative Baking Company have devised a new line of gluten-free cookies that we, even as non-celiac-havers, couldn’t keep our paws off. The classics are accounted for (chocolate chip, cinnamon) but what really wowed us were the less-conventional varieties, such as Lemon Dream (wheat or no wheat, these are truly dreamy) and Coconut Fantasy. While the ingredients sound imaginative (garbanzo bean, potato, tapioca, sorghum, and fava bean flours … whoa!), the flavors deliver no matter what grains you go for. With back-to-school just around the bend, the new class of gluten-free goods is guaranteed to be the best yet.
