ABC Dishes on Vegetarian-Friendly Side Dishes

The news network discusses the importance of providing meat- and dairy-free options to Thanksgiving guests.

In a recent feature, ABC’s Lori Corbin shares the importance of providing food options for the increasing number of meat-, dairy-, and gluten-free guests during Thanksgiving. Los Angeles-based chef Anthony Jacquet of The Whisper Restaurant tells ABC, “You’ve got to provide something for everyone. You want to make everyone happy on Thanksgiving.” Two of the animal-friendly dishes that Jacquet shares include a Colorful Kale Salad featuring baked kale, apples, and nuts, and a Farro Salad that can easily replace traditional stuffing. Corbin says that not only do these dishes make for a delicious meal, but eaters will also reap the nutritional benefits of the produce-heavy meat-free foods.
