The Oregonian’s Blog Recommends Vegan Cookbooks

The Oregon-based news publication’s blog lists the best 2012 vegan cookbooks to buy for the holidays.

The Oregonian's food and arts writer Grant Butler recently published an article on oregonlive.com listing the best meat- and dairy-free cookbooks to add to holiday shopping lists. Butler says, “As veganism becomes increasingly mainstream, publishers are releasing titles designed to appeal to more than just hard-core plant eaters.” Some of the cookbooks that made Butler’s list include Ellen DeGeneres’ and Portia de Rossi’s personal chef Roberto Martin’s Vegan Cooking for Carnivores, Julie Morris’ Superfood Kitchen, and VegNews columnist and food author Terry Hope Romero’s Vegan Eats World, which features a recipe for Fresh Wheat Noodles in Miso Broth.
