Animals Australia Debuts Meat-Free Monday Video

The Australian animal-welfare organization releases an inspiring video urging for others to forgo meat.

In a visually stunning graphic-based video, Meat-Free Mondays—Why They Matter, animal-welfare organization Animals Australia for the Make It Possible campaign share information on animal agriculture’s negative impact on the planet, human health, and world hunger. Explaining that raising animals for food results in excessive pollution and global starvation due to most of the grain feed going to livestock, the video says, “We’re at a critical point in human history. Our choices no longer have just a local impact. Their effects are felt globally—on animals, people, and the environment.” In October, Animals Australia released a short film wherein factory-farmed animals dream of escaping the horrifying confines of the animal-food system.
