HuffPo Ranks Subway #1 in Food Chain Quality

The online news outlet teamed up with YouGov BrandIndex to see which food chains were top in value and quality.

The Huffington Post, in partnership with YouGov BrandIndex, recently revealed the results of a substantial consumer poll ranking 130 different US restaurant chains in value and quality for 2011 and 2012. Consumer feedback from the survey conducted between Jan 1, 2012 and December 6, 2012 was assigned scores ranging from 100 to -100, with negative scores subtracted from positive to determine a perception metric. Participants ranked veg-friendly Subway Restaurants first with a 2012 quality score of 52.1, followed by Olive Garden in second place and Panera Bread in third. Earlier this year when the sandwich chain released new plant-based options on a trial basis, the menu items sold out.
