Singer Ne-Yo Goes Vegan as New Year’s Resolution

The pop star announced on Twitter that he is adopting a plant-based diet for numerous reasons.

On December 30, R&B singer Ne-Yo took to Twitter to tell fans that he is adopting a vegan diet in 2013, the next day even asking vegan fans to contribute ideas for their favorite quick snack ideas and recipes. The singer, who has more than 2,700,000 followers on the social-networking site, was initially drawn to the diet as a “discipline test,” but on January 1 he revealed that “after reading up on animal cruelty and whatnot” he found “much more meaning to it.” Ne-Yo is in good company—he joins stars including Usher, Carrie Underwood, and Pink in exploring a vegan lifestyle.
