New MFA Campaign Exposes Dairy Industry

A stark new video from Mercy For Animals gives dairy cows a voice.

In a video published on January 9, Mercy For Animals calls attention to the plight of dairy cows. In the black and white video, titled “My Story,” artist and animal activist Gretchen Ryan holds up a series of note cards with the story of the life of a dairy cow written across them, followed by a few moments of graphic footage of animal mistreatment culled from MFA’s undercover investigations. Ari Solomon, MFA’s new director of communications, says, “I originally came up with the idea after seeing YouTube videos of bullied teens made in the same style. It’s incredibly moving to watch someone be so vulnerable. Since animals literally can’t speak, I thought this would be a perfect way to let someone else be their voice.”
