HSUS’s New Animal Rescue Program Now Underway

Rescue Central will provide guidance and a networking forum to bolster the efficiency and effectiveness of animal rescue groups.

The Humane Society of the United States recently launched its animal rescue-assistance program, Rescue Central. RC will provide expert advice and assistance to rescue groups to increase the efficiency of their operations and help them explore new methods of fundraising, while providing crucial animal-care resources. The program also includes a cyber network that allows rescue groups to parlay helpful tips and give advice. “Animal-rescue groups play a vital role in improving animal welfare in communities across the country, but many could use a little extra guidance and additional tools to reach their potential,” says Abby Volin, rescue group coordinator for HSUS.
