Vegan Cooking is Featured on NBC’s Today Show

Annie and Dan of vegan blog Meet The Shannons showed Kathie Lee how easy it is to prepare cruelty-free fare on the Today show.

Vegan chefs were recently featured on ABC’s The Taste and fellow major network NBC took notice, featuring a vegan cooking segment on yesterday’s Today show. Vegan lifestyle bloggers Annie and Dan Shannon whipped up a full vegan meal for hosts Kathie Lee and Hoda, including Pesto Chicken Sandwiches, Sweet Potato Risotto, and Salted Caramel Apple Whoopie Pies from their upcoming cookbook, Betty Goes Vegan. When asked what the point of being vegan was, Annie responded that different people have different reasons for going plant-based, but that for them it was the love of animals that kept meat off their plates.
