Veg Restaurant Fiction Kitchen Opens in Raleigh

Fiction Kitchen, a meat-free restaurant in Raleigh, NC, is now open for business.

Securing the funds through a Kickstarter campaign, Caroline Morrison and Siobhan Southern have opened Fiction Kitchen, a vegetarian and vegan eatery focusing on local and seasonal ingredients. The culinary veterans chose the name Fiction Kitchen hoping to provide not only delicious food, but also a fun, imagination-filled dining experience. With dishes such as the meatless Barbecue Pulled Pork and Chicken and Waffles, the duo are quick to point out that Fiction Kitchen isn’t exclusively a health-food joint. “We want people that are carnivores and omnivores … to find something they can relate to and walk out saying, ‘Wow, I just ate my first vegetarian meal and it was awesome,’” Southern told Technician Online.
