New Vegetarian Café Opens its Doors in Orange, CA

Residents of the southern California town enjoy meatless fare from the new Mead’s Green Door Cafe.

Mead’s Green Door Cafe opened its doors in central Orange recently, offering patrons meat-free fare in a casual setting. Though the eatery is in its early stages and is only open for breakfast and lunch, Green Door fans are hoping it will extend its hours soon. West of the Orange Circle Proper, the menu, which is an assortment of ethnic-influenced cuisine, includes Mediterranean and soba salads, sweet potato fries, and Green Goddess Juice made with cucumber, kale, and citrus. Soymilk and almond milk are available alongside in-house roasted coffee at this family-owned restaurant, and much of the art on display is made by the Mead family.
