Vegan Photographer Vanessa K. Rees Wins Blog Award

The photographer takes home a prestigious Saveur magazine Best Food Blog Award.

Vegan photographer Vanessa K. Rees recently won a Best Food Blog Award from Saveur for her photography blog. Filled with photos of food and products, personal musings, and technical lighting and photography advice, Rees’ blog was given the Best Photography category award. The food magazine recently featured an interview with Rees, where she talks about receiving a camera as a gift from her parents at the age of 14; the inspiration behind her shots––for one, she recreated her father’s desk, noting it was a sentimental moment; and her favorite blogs. Among the other winners is the humorous plant-strong blog Thug Kitchen, promoting fruits and vegetables in a unique, funny, and expletive-filled fashion.
