Tyson Foods Sees 43 Percent Fall in Net Income

According Tyson CEO Donnie Smith, more consumers opted to buy the meat company’s less expensive chicken products, which was reflected in the company’s poor beef sales. He also noted that raised feed prices, a dwindling demand for prepared foods, and the disappearance of international markets also contributed to the second quarter financial shortfall.
