De Rossi Shares Recipe For Ellen’s Favorite Dish

Veganism’s renowned celebrity couple enjoys cooking Roberto Martin’s Red Beans and Rice on their farm.

Actress Portia de Rossi and her wife Ellen DeGeneres are noted in the cruelty-free community for their outspoken advocacy for animals and love for vegan cuisine. Recently, de Rossi shared the recipe for DeGeneres’ favorite dish, Vegan Red Beans and Rice, with Parade. The recipe was created by Vegan Cooking for Carnivores author Roberto Martin, and calls for Better Than Bouillon vegetable broth, basmati rice, organic kidney beans, and grape seed or safflower oil. According to the Arrested Development star, she and DeGeneres like to do their cooking during weekend getaways to their farm.
