Business Insider Profiles Nine Successful Veg Men

The commerce news website lists nine of the world’s most successful, powerful men who choose not to eat meat.

Business Insider recently spotlighted nine vegetarian and vegan commerce and political leaders with the mission of breaking down stereotypes that masculinity is tied to eating meat. Among the list of powerful veg men are Bill Clinton, Twitter co-founder Biz Stone, who has been vegan for more than a decade, MIT media lab director and venture capitalist Joi Ito, and wildly popular Newark Mayor Cory Booker, who has been meat-free for more than 20 years. While Business Insider cites a 2012 Gallup poll estimating that five percent of Americans abstain from consuming meat, it says times are changing: “This pattern may slowly change as tofu and salads became more fashionable among America's male movers and shakers.”
