Robin Quivers Talks Veganism on The Dr. Oz Show

Radio personality Robin Quivers says her vegan diet played a large role in healing herself from endometrial cancer.

In a recent segment on The Dr. Oz Show, radio personality and author Robin Quivers discussed how a vegan diet helped her lose 80 pounds and heal from cancer. On the August 14 program, Quivers—who wrote about her transformation in the 2013 Vegucation of Robin: How Real Food Saved My Life—developed endometrial cancer, resulting in a grapefruit-sized tumor in her uterus. Now cancer-free, Quivers says her vegan diet helped her body heal throughout the ordeal. "If you want your body to work the way it's supposed to, you need to give it the nutrients it needs," she told Dr. Oz. "The solution isn't in a pill; it's in what you eat."
