Miley Cyrus Named Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity of 2015

The pop singer—who went vegan last year—wins annual PETA award.

International music star Miley Cyrus has a new entry on her ever-growing resumé. Yesterday, she was named People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals' (PETA) Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity of 2015. The 22-year-old starlet adopted a meat-free lifestyle more than one year ago and announced her veganism in Paper magazine earlier this month. She follows in the footsteps of previous winners such as Jared Leto (2014), Kristen Bell (2013), Jessica Chastain (2012), and Russell Brand (2011). Cyrus—known for her chart-topping songs such as “Wrecking Ball” and “We Can’t Stop”—has also written and performed songs on behalf of animals, such as the ode to her late blowfish Pablow. The singer posts vegan food photos on her Instagram account and regularly touts “the luxurious life of a vegetarian."
