Moby to Donate 100 Percent of Restaurant Profits to Charity

Music mogul’s new vegan restaurant Little Pine will give all of its profits to ethical charities.

Musician-turned-activist Moby announced recently that Little Pine, his new Los Angeles Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, will donate 100 percent of its profits to charity. Citing a number of organizations including the Animal Defense Fund, the Humane Society of the United States, Farm Sanctuary, Mercy For Animals, Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, and Sea Shepherd, Moby said in a statement that “opening Little Pine was never meant to be a conventional entrepreneurial endeavor. I want it to present veganism in a really positive light and also help to support the animal-welfare organizations who do such remarkable work." The Silver Lake restaurant opened in late November and is wowing customers with offerings such as garlic breadcrumb-topped sausage cassoulet, a grilled pear and gruyere sandwich, and a PB&J sundae made with peanut butter and chocolate-chunk ice cream, strawberry jam ice cream, bruléed bananas, candied rice krispies, hot fudge sauce, and meringue.
