Nice Vice, a popular “0% Dairy Creamery” food truck, opened its first brick-and-mortar location in Yaletown, Vancouver yesterday, bringing organic, GMO-, soy- and dairy-free ice cream to Canadian vegan ice cream lovers. The sustainability-minded company is famous for flavors such as Vanilla Vice, Chocoholics Anonymous, Strawberry Fiends Forever, Tripped Out Tropical, Lemonhead, and Buzz’d Coffee, but will also feature Banana Fudge, Peach Green Tea, Matcha Avocado, Dark Chocolate Mint, Blueberry Sage, Cookie Dough, and Mango. Crafted in-house and from-scratch by chief “vice cream” maker Joselyn Heinrichs and food scientist Nancy Ross, the dairy-free premium ice cream is served in recycled, organic, compostable packaging or vegan cones. The company is also teaming with local artisanal salt makers Salt Dispensary to offer mango, raspberry, chocolate, and Hellfire and Hickory salts to top customer’s scoops. Sundaes, floats, and to-go pints are also available.
