First Vegan Night Market to Debut in Los Angeles

Popular Instagrammer VeganFatKid is curating Vegan Street Fair Nights—Los Angeles’ first-ever vegan night market—during the weekend of September 2 at The Federal Bar. The event includes 17 vegan vendors (such as Taqueria La Venganza, Burgerlords, Divine Dips Ice Creme, and Ridiculous Baking Company featuring Minneapolis-based The Herbivorous Butcher), musical entertainment by ‘80s cover band Flashpants, a beer garden, and board games such as giant Jenga. This year, vegan events in Los Angeles have reached record attendance with vegan daytime festival Vegan Street Fair (VSF) expanding its reach threefold this March. To explain the nighttime take on VSF, event organizer Jessica Schoech said, “It’s a great time to be vegan and we want to celebrate that.”
