Television personality and makeup icon Kylie Jenner has partnered with children’s charity Smile Train to launch the Smile Lip Kit—a vegan matte lipstick and liner duo in a pale pink shade. All profits from the sales of the new Lip Kit will be donated to Smile Train in an effort to provide free surgeries to children afflicted with cleft palates worldwide. “As the ambassador for Smile Train, I am excited to have the opportunity to donate 100 percent of the net proceeds from my newest Lip Kit ‘Smile’ to this amazing organization,” said Jenner. “It is incredible to know that in doing so I am helping give thousands of cleft children around the world new smiles.” Jenner launched her makeup company Kylie Cosmetics in 2016 and currently offers 18 Lip Kits, all of which are made with vegan ingredients (with exception of the Candy K shade) and not tested on animals. Jenner joins a slew of celebrities that are making a connection between compassion for animals and humans through cosmetics. Tattoo artist Kat Von D recently removed all animal products from her makeup line to align with her vegan lifestyle and Pearl Harbor actress Jaime King launched a vegan makeup line with ColourPop Cosmetics geared toward all races, creeds, genders, and ages earlier this year.
