Peet's Launches Bottled Almond Milk Cold Brew
The coffeehouse giant bulked-up its Coldcraft bottled coffee line with a creamy dairy-free option.
Coffeehouse chain Peet’s Coffee added a new dairy-free option to its Coldcraft bottled beverage line. The company launched its ready-to-drink (RTD) line with three options—two with added dairy milk—in test markets in the San Francisco Bay Area in July 2016. The new option—a ready-to-drink combination of Baridi Black coffee, almond milk, and sugar—will be available throughout California in the refrigerated section of stores within Peet’s distribution network. Peet’s introduced almond milk to its coffee shops in 2013. Coldcraft’s general manager Tiffin Groff tells VegNews that “our rollout of the non-dairy alternative was immensely popular, and given that it was met with such high-demand, we knew that an extension of our RTD line that featured the flavor would be a perfect complement.” This new offering is the latest dairy-free option from Peet’s, which introduced a non-dairy coconut-based whipped cream option to its 236 coffeehouses nationwide last August during its “Coffee Meets Coconut” campaign which featured many veganizable beverages.
