Daiya is Fastest Growing Plant-Based Brand in America

Top market research firm SPINS reports the vegan cheese company is growing quickly with an annual revenue of more than $50 million.
Market research company SPINS recently named Daiya Foods as the fastest growing plant-based company in North America. The Canadian company was also named the second fastest growing overall food company in the region with an annual revenue of over $50 million. “This recognition emphasizes the growing value consumers are placing on making conscious choices to embrace a plant-forward lifestyle driven by health, environment and animal compassion concerns,” Daiya CEO Terry Tierney said. SPINS also reported that Daiya’s vegan cheese products are driving its overall growth as the plant-based cheese sector is currently growing by 31.4 percent in the natural channel—or health-oriented grocery chains. In a separate report, SPINS revealed that the plant-based food industry generated $5 billion in US sales in 2016.
