Berkeley, CA-based vegan shop Cinnaholic recently opened in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. Customers can choose from more than 30 vegan frostings (such as caramel, butterscotch, and hazelnut) and toppings (including cookie dough, marshmallows, and pie crumble) to create customized cinnamon rolls. “I couldn’t be more excited to bring Cinnaholic to Los Angeles,” franchisee Erik Abramson said. “The delicious, vegan cinnamon rolls will fulfill a need for a healthy, sweet treat that locals have been asking for.” Florian and Shannon Radke co-founded the company in 2009 and, after an appearance on investment reality show Shark Tank, franchised Cinnaholic in 2014. Currently, the bakery operates 15 franchise locations in California, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Texas, and Colorado. This week, media outlet Forbes named Cinnaholic one of 10 best Shark Tank franchises to buy, stating it was “giving Cinnabon a run for its money.”
