The annual three-day festival Scooper Bowl will take place on June 1 in New York City’s Bryant Park. The festival is a fundraiser for nonprofit Jimmy Fund—an organization that supports cancer patients at Boston’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital—and while dairy-based ice cream will be offered, a variety of vegan scoops will also be available. New York-based brand Van Leeuwen will scoop its Vegan Salted Caramel and Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough flavors, California brand Sambazon will offer Açaí Sorbet, Häagen-Dazs will treat guests to its Non-Dairy Chocolate Salted Fudge Truffle flavor, and Vermont’s Ben & Jerry’s will offer its vegan Caramel Almond Brittle—one of the brand’s nine non-dairy, almond milk-based flavors. Tickets for the event are $25 and include unlimited ice cream tastings.
