Ice cream brand Ben & Jerry’s is hosting vegan ice cream tasting events across the United States this summer. Select scoop shops will be sampling the brand’s entire vegan-certified, almond milk-based flavors, including its newest additions Peanut Butter Half Baked and Cinnamon Buns. “Ben & Jerry’s is excited to take its non-dairy flavors on tour to select cities with the most non-dairy fans around the US,” Chris Rivard, the “flavor guru” who helped develop Ben & Jerry’s newest vegan flavors, told VegNews. “We want to show our non-dairy fans that we love them as much as they love us.” Ben & Jerry’s first launched its vegan line in 2016 with four flavors (PB & Cookies, Coffee Caramel Fudge, Chunky Monkey, and Chocolate Fudge Brownie) and has since expanded its vegan varieties to nine pints, which now comprise 20 percent of the brand’s ice cream flavors. Thus far, Ben & Jerry’s has hosted two ice cream parties, in Philadelphia and New York City, and will host similar events in San Francisco (May 30), Los Angeles, Boston, and Washington DC. Ben & Jerry’s will also sample its vegan Caramel Almond Brittle flavor at three-day festival Scooper Bowl in New York City on June 1.
