This past weekend, Mercy For Animals celebrated its 15th anniversary with an awards show, gourmet dinner, silent auction, and plenty of celebrity sightings. Held on the rooftop terrace of the swanky London West Hollywood hotel, the black-tie affair was attended by Moby, Russell Simmons, Pamela Anderson, Emily Deschanel, Leona Lewis, Drew Carey, and many more—all who came out to support the groundbreaking work of the organization. Hosted by CNN’s Jane Velez-Mitchell and actor Hal Sparks, MFA raised more than $1.5 million throughout the evening, and West Hollywood mayor John D’Amico was on hand to name September 12, 2014 “Mercy For Animals Day.” MFA was founded by Nathan Runkle and conducts undercover investigations, consumer education initiatives, legal advocacy, and corporate outreach across the country.
