Multiplatinum musician and DJ Moby is famous for mixing beats, but with his new vegan restaurant set to open in Summer 2015, he may also become known for mixing beets—as in roasted beet salad with arugula and pea shoots. The organic eatery, called Little Pine, will be located in Los Angeles’ trendy Silver Lake district. It will feature a menu designed by chef Anne Thornton, host of the Food Network’s Dessert First, and a small store where diners can purchase vegan cookbooks and environmentally-friendly housewares. Perhaps Little Pine will become the West Coast’s version of Teany, the Manhattan restaurant Moby opened in 2002.
