Candles are one of the unnecessary homegoods items we can’t live without—particularly during the fall and winter seasons. Instead of relying on them to light up a room, we depend on them to light up our spirits during the holiday season. This year, we’re decorating our kitchens, living rooms, offices, and even bathrooms with Thanksgiving-scented candles to extend the joy of this food-centric holiday. From pumpkin pie to savory rosemary and sage fragrances, pick up these fourteen vegan-friendly candles to make every day smell like a home-cooked vegan Thanksgiving meal.

1. IKEA
Light up your entire home with subtly scented IKEA tea lights. With multiple fall and winter scents, you can have your bathroom smell like apples and pears and your living room smell like sweet vanilla. If you were out-voted and your family is choosing pumpkin over apple pie this year, beckon in those crisp apple scents in the kitchen with these tiny tea lights.

2. The Fanciful Fox
Not a baker? Purchase a vegan pie at Whole Foods (or a frozen Wholly Wholesome pie at nearly any supermarket) and light a Fanciful Fox candle. With scents including Chai Tea, The Vegan Bakery, and Vanilla, your Thanksgiving guests will be none the wiser—just be sure to plunge that pie wrapping deep into the recesses of the recycling bin.

3. PF Candle Co.
Found online and at many homegoods boutiques, the food-scented varieties of these candles are appealing without being too overpowering. Start off with the fresh aroma of Apple Picking, set a cozy mood with the Spiced Pumpkin, and serve the main course as you light the Rosemary candle. With these candles, your home can smell like Thanksgiving dinner even when the leftovers are gone.

4. Evil Queen
You won’t be able to determine the scent from the name, but these punny candles are sure to put a smile on your face. Mouthwatering scents include the doughnut-scented Bun in the Oven; coffee-scented Damn It’s Early; Champagne Showers (no explanation needed); and the aptly named Basic—which smells like pumpkin and vanilla. We’re lighting up the Bun in the Oven on Thanksgiving morning, because with all the meal prep we’ve left to the last-minute, there’s no way we’re making cinnamon rolls on top of all that.

5. Yankee Candle
Surprise! This commercial candle company is mostly vegan-friendly (though some of the candles include beeswax taper on the wicks, which you can easily find out online or at the store). While it lacks the coolness factor of a vegan soy candle you discovered from a vendor at your local farmers’ market, Yankee Candle’s Spiced Pumpkin and Apple Pumpkin scented candles add a sophisticated and decorative touch to your home—and while we hate to sell out to Big Candle, we have to admit they smell amazing. Place a few of these seasonal candles along your Thanksgiving table for an aromatic decoration.

6. Woodwick by Yankee Candle
A subsidiary of Yankee Candle, this cozy candle company makes a gorgeous Crimson Berries candle that will beckon in cravings for cranberry sauce—the homemade kind, not the kind you secretly buy in the can.

7. Voluspa
With food scents including Crisp Champagne, Copper Clove, Cinnamon Ceylon and Copal, Bourbon Vanille, and French Toast, all of these candles encourage an atmosphere of celebration. Light one up and enjoy a Thanksgiving holiday on a Tuesday—just because!

8. Goodlight
These vegan, paraffin-free lights hint of after-dinner drinks and comforting morning chais. Opt for the Vanilla Nutmeg Cardamom to wake up in the morning or the Orange Clove Cinnamon as you pour yourself a steaming mug of apple cider with a whiskey floater—you just pulled off an entire Thanksgiving dinner, you deserve it!

9. Lit Candle Co
There are so many things to do the day of Thanksgiving. Wake up refreshed without even starting the coffeemaker. Called “Wired,” this espresso-scented candle is strong enough to get you out of bed and into the kitchen to start on that lentil loaf.

10. Eco Candle Co
Salted caramel isn’t always vegan, but you can satisfy your craving by lighting this sweet Salted Caramel Corn candle. For those who prefer a slightly more balanced and earthy aroma, the Pomegranate Sage option is perfect—it’s also a winning flavor combination—in case you’re looking for entreé inspiration for your friend’s last-minute Friendsgiving.

11. The Good Candle
Got a sweet tooth? We can’t promise that these scents won’t elevate those cravings, but they’re too tempting to resist. Scents include Apples & Butterscotch, Ginger Saffron, Pumpkin Spice, and Witches Brew—a seasonal scent with notes of vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and caramel. Light one up and savor the scent instead of helping yourself to another slice of pie.

12. Soy Much Brighter
Worried about your guests getting along? With fun names such as Autumn + Eve, Pass the Cider, All Nogged Up, and ‘Tis the Season for Making Out, these incredible scented candles double as ice breakers among your omnivore and vegan guests before you all sit down to your plant-based feast.

13. Paddywax
Paddywax candles act as an air freshener and a statement piece in one. The scents are available in several distinct styles—from minimalist chic to masculine bachelor pad with style. The Cranberry Rosé is divine and the Rosemary Sea Salt will get you inspired to get in the kitchen. Get started on that sage stuffing!

14. Wax Cabin Candle Co.
Raise a glass to vegan libations! These boozy candles come in scents such as Gin  + Tonic and Merry Mule. More of a pumpkin spice fan? The Pumpkin Horchata candle smells as good as your favorite vegan PSL tastes, and it will last longer than this hyper-seasonal drink.
