In the age of normalized food delivery, meal kits, and nightly takeout culture, it is perfectly acceptable to keep your kitchen spotless this holiday and order your Thanksgiving to-go. Think of it as ordering a catering service for an event, and there’s no shame in that. Vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants are offering more plant-based Thanksgiving packages than ever before—might as well take advantage of this delicious convenience. Pick your favorite restaurant from the list below and place your order today—really, don’t wait, because most order deadlines are coming up soon.

1. Plum Bistro, Seattle, WA
Order the dishes you like, and leave the ones you don’t. The respected Capitol Hill vegan eatery offers an extensive a la carte menu for those who like to mix and match. Alternatively, a prepared Thanksgiving Feast package is available and includes everything from a maple-glazed seitan roast to cornbread stuffing. It’s one of those meals where omnivore relatives declare, “If I could eat like this every day, I’d be vegan.”

2. Green New American Vegetarian, Tempe, AZ
Arizona locals, take note—this Thanksliving menu is only available for pick up at the Tempe location. Even if it’s out of the way for Phoenix residents, one look at the menu will motivate you to make the drive. Where else can you find a Seitan Turkey Breast with “Giblet” Gravy, Smoked Paprika Sweet Corn, or a Winter Berry Organic Oat Granola Cobbler?

3. Avocadamama, Los Angeles and Portland
Like many businesses in 2020, this vegan mac and cheese pop-up has transformed since last year. Now serving two populous vegan cities, the company has stepped up its recipe repertoire with a comprehensive Thanksgiving Box. The substantial meal-for-one includes eight items including Meaty Lentil Stuffed Balls, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Mac & Cheese, Quinoa Broccoli Casserole, and more. There’s also a sourdough-based pumpkin bread pudding. Order quick! This will sell out.

4. Erin McKenna’s Bakery, multiple locations
If you’re a wizard in the kitchen when it comes to savory dishes but fail epically at baking, check out Erin McKenna’s Bakery. While storefronts are located in Los Angeles, New York City, and Orlando, her Thanksgiving goodies ship nationwide. From cinnamon crumb-topped coffee cake to gluten-free cornbread, this baking pioneer has you covered. If you’re fortunate enough to live near a bakery, order the pumpkin pie!

5. Real Food Daily, multiple locations
This Los Angeles vegan institution is continuing its tradition of offering an eight-course Thanksgiving feast for under $50 per person. Order the meal for yourself and savor your hickory-smoked, maple-carved jackfruit as your relatives politely pick at a dry, overcooked turkey.

6. Follow Your Heart Market and Cafe, Canoga Park, CA
This hippy cafe and market offers just about every Thanksgiving dish you could ask for—family-sized turkey pot pie, vegan turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffed acorn squash, mashed potatoes, yams, green beans—and that’s not including the 10 desserts on offer. While this spot is a bit out of the way for many Angelinos, the bounty is worth the drive.

7. Cafe Gratitude, multiple locations, CA
If you firmly believe sides are the star of the meal, opt for the Sides and Pies offering from this affirmation-based restaurant group. Options include Maple Miso Brussels Sprouts, mashed potatoes with shiitake gravy, Autumn Salad, and Lentil and Butternut Squash Loaves (which are hearty enough to be served as a main). Spare yourself the indecisiveness and order one of each pie including the coconut cream pie, pecan pie, pumpkin pie, and apple pie. They freeze well!

8. Sage Vegan Bistro, Los Angeles, CA
Residents of Echo Park, Pasadena, Agoura Hills, and Culver City can drop by their local Sage to pick up a Family Meal for 4 or an Individual Meal (great for those dining with a group of mixed eaters). The family package includes seitan turkey, lentil loaf, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing, collard greens, gravy, and a pumpkin pie. Tamales are also available a la carte.

9 Veggie Grill, multiple locations
If you’re a Veggie Grill regular and find comfort in the familiar, don’t try to cook anything fancy, just trust in your go-to lunch spot. The VG Holiday Feast is back again, though the menu has been adjusted for 2020. The full feast includes four individual Turkey+Shiitake Mushroom Pot Pies, gravy, mashed potatoes, Holiday House Salad with dressing, glazed carrots, and four mini pumpkin pies. These items are also available a la carte.

10. Native Foods, multiple locations
The Original Native Wellington is back! After a two-year absence, this fast-casual vegan chain listened to its customers and reverted to this addictive puff pastry-encased centerpiece. All Native Foods locations are offering full Thanksgiving feasts to-go that include the Wellington, Apple Cider Braised Brussel Sprouts, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Signature Stuffing, and Mushroom Gravy. The Wellington, gravy, and Sides Combo can also be ordered a la carte.

11. Chef Tanya’s Kitchen, Palm Springs, CA
The founder and former owner of Native Foods has been happily cooking away at her namesake vegan joint in this resort desert town, and she has come up with quite the spread for Thanksgiving. The holiday a la carte catering menu includes Turkey Love Roasts, Cranberry Chestnut Stuffing, Maple Glazed Sweet Potatoes, Cobblermania Cobblers, a Party Crack Cheese and Pate Platter, and more. For those who live out of the area, pack your car with a giant cooler and make the trek.

12. Pingala Cafe, Burlington, VT
Those who reside near Ben & Jerry’s HQ can rely on this quaint vegan restaurant for all of their Thanksgiving staples. The eight-course meal is available in half (2-3 servings) or full (4-5 servings) orders. Expect a chefy twist on Thanksgiving classics such as Smoked Carrot Stuffing, Crushed German Butter Potatoes, “Fist Full” Crispy Skin Tofu, and Mixed Mushroom Pan Gravy.

13. Watercourse Foods, Denver, CO
Fans of the always buzzing City, O’ City restaurant should look to its sister company, Watercourse Foods, for its Holiday Grab N’ Go. Vegan mains include a “turkey-” style holiday roast or flaky vegetable pot pie. Build your meal by adding a side of mushroom bacon-topped Mac N’ Cheese, Parmesan Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Root Vegetable Stuffing, dinner rolls, cranberry sauce, and Herb Gravy. Plagued by indecisiveness yet? End your meal on a sweet note with the Dutch apple or pumpkin pie.

14. The Butcher’s Son, Berkeley, CA
We’ve searched vegan spots nationwide, but this Berkely delicatessen and bakery is the only place we’ve found a one-pound plant-based turkey roast with a crispy skin. Surround this stunning apple-and-sausage-stuffed centerpiece with a bready sausage stuffing and finish the meal with a cheesecake or apple pie. For individual meals, the menu offers a small shepherd’s pie and a vegan chicken pot pie. Don’t forget the quart of eggnog to kick off the Christmas merriment a little early!

15. Whole Foods Market
In partnership with vegan celebrity chef Chloe Coscarelli, this vegan-friendly grocer launched a complete vegan feast and a la carte options beginning in November. The comprehensive Vegan Meal for 2 includes a Cremini Mushroom Roast with gravy, Miso Creamed Greens, Coconut Sweet Potato Casserole, Jalapeno Cornbread Dressing, and Pumpkin Curry Soup. Other festive items include Spinach Artichoke Puffs, Cider-Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Pepitas, and vegan apple and pumpkin pies.

16. Cafe Sunflower
Visiting a not-so-vegan-friendly household for Thanksgiving? Atlanta residents can rely on Cafe Sunflower’s Thanksgiving Take Home For One. The satisfying box includes a realistic-looking golden soy turkey, Herb Mashed Potatoes, Holiday Stuffing with Winter Root Vegetables, Wild Mushroom Gravy, and Braised Green Beans. Complete the meal with a slice of vegan pie or cake supplied by Southern Sweets Bakery.

17. Herbivorous Butcher, Minneapolis, MN
Available for both takeout and delivery, this vegan deli and butchery has options for large family feasts and more intimate family meals. The expansive Turkey-Free Feast includes seven of the company’s festive meats, cheeses, and sauces—plus a bag of Dandies marshmallows to top homemade sweet potato casseroles. The a la carte menu allows customers to mix-and-match their favorites. We highly suggest the Unstuffed Turkey Roast, brie, and meatloaf. Looking for something in-between the epic feast and a la carte? The six-item Cozy Fall Pack with Festive Pasta, Cheddar Sauce, meatloaf, and more is right up your alley.
