Beyoncé Urges 112 Million Fans to Go Vegan for Coachella

The singer announces she is ditching animal products, again, and asked her 112 million social media followers to join her.

Award-winning singer Beyoncé announced that she will follow a plant-based diet in preparation for music festival Coachella. “44 days until Coachella, vegan time,” Beyoncé posted to Instagram before asking her 112 million followers to click a link in her bio to join her. The link is to meal delivery service 22 Days Nutrition—which Beyoncé co-owns with vegan entrepreneur Marco Borges. In 2013, the singer and her husband Jay-Z famously took Borges’ 22-day plant-based challenge, which is founded on the idea that it takes 21 days to break a habit. Beyoncé’s “vegan time” Instagram post has garnered more than 2.6 million likes in less than 24 hours, with many followers pledging to join the singer in eschewing animal products in solidarity.
