DC Celebrates Fourth-Annual DC Meat-Free Week

This week marks the fourth year for the citywide celebration of vegan food.

Sticky Fingers bakery kicked off the festivities at the fourth annual DC Meat-Free Week going on this week in Washington, DC. Beltway residents have access to an exclusive three-night-only vegan pop-up restaurant at 410 GooDBuddY during the seven-day celebration, started by local blogger Amber Mcdonald of DC Vegan. Restaurants will offer special plant-based meals, including European-inspired lounge Barcode’s dessert debut: pears poached in wine with chocolate. February 4 through 11 will be honored with meatless menus, cooking events, and parties. Mexican eatery Casa Oaxaca is offering a three-course vegan prix fixe menu, and citywide food discounts, such as $2 off vegan options at El Floridano food truck, are available all week.
