Austin-based vegan ice cream brand NadaMoo! added this week three new flavors, growing its total ice cream line to include 15 organic coconut milk-based varieties. Strawberry Cheesecake features flakey, gluten-free pie crust pieces; Caramel Cold Brew & Cookies is made with a coffee based with caramel ripples and gluten-free chocolate cookie chunks; and Cookie Dough Fudge includes swirls of fudge and gluten-free chocolate chip cookie dough chunks. The new flavors were developed from customer feedback and intensive market research. “Our customers are our No. 1 priority, and bringing them new flavors is something our whole team looks forward to each year,” NadaMoo! CEO Daniel Nicholson said. “We work with chefs and food scientists to create the best and most demanded flavors to pair with our always perfectly creamy organic coconut milk base.” This week, 14 flavors of NadaMoo!—including the three new varieties—became available at employee-owned grocery chain Hy-Vee across the Midwest. Fellow vegan ice cream brand So Delicious debuted this month its own collection of five new vegan flavors, including coconut milk-based Toasted Coconut Key Lime, Blueberry Cardamom, and Cold Brew Coffee; and cashew milk-based Chocolate Drizzled Bananas Foster and Peachy Maple Pecan. Non-vegan brands continue to expand their plant-based lines, including Ben & Jerry’s, which added two new flavors (Peanut Butter Half Baked and Cinnamon Buns) and Halo Top (which debuted seven new flavors) in January.
