Larry Hagman Goes Vegan

Actor Larry Hagman, star of 1980s TV show Dallas, has gone vegan after being diagnosed with cancer.

Veteran TV star Larry Hagman has adopted an organic vegan diet in response to his recent cancer diagnosis. The 80-year-old actor, best known for playing oil magnate JR Ewing on the popular TV drama Dallas, has replaced meat and dairy with organic smoothies and fresh vegetable juices. Thanks to his new diet, coupled with a daily exercise regimen, Hagman has shed 25 pounds and is well on his way to recovery. He told UK’s Daily Mail, “I’m feeling great and I’m back on track. I’ve finished treatment and the doctors are thrilled with my progress.” Hagman and the rest of the gang will be returning to the small screen this summer, when TNT relaunches Dallas for the first time since it ended its 13-year TV run in 1991.
